Sandburn Hall - York

The rooms are beautifully clean and stylish with comfy beds, plus a great selection of hot drinks. The restaurant atmosphere could be better, especially since you have to step outside, but the fine grounds and friendly staff, especially Karl, make up for it. A lovely getaway!

Nothing too much trouble, really, had a lovely stay for the celebration. The room was neat, exceptional with a sofa bed, we loved it. The location was marvellous to inside everything and met needs. An attached restaurant for breakfast and dinner was an advantage.

Double room I stayed at was practical. The staff were attentive the whole time of my stay. The location was magnificent, not too far from St Lawrence.

The access to a personal patio, complete with seating outside the French windows, allowed me to enjoy morning coffee in serene comfort while soaking in nature's beauty.

One minor drawback was the intermittent Wi-Fi, which occasionally disrupted my ability to work efficiently. Despite this small hiccup, the overall experience was enjoyable and relaxing.

The modern hotel impressed us with its cleanliness, spacious room, and attentive staff, especially Karl, who facilitated our room change seamlessly. The rural location offered tranquility, and we enjoyed nearby landmarks like Kirkham Priory and Piglets Adventure Farm.

I had a great experience during my stay! The hotel is set in beautiful grounds, and it's conveniently close to both York and Harrogate. The staff were super friendly and attentive, making my business trip much more enjoyable. Plus, the breakfast buffet had everything you could want, and the restaurant offered lovely views of the snowy scenery.

I got great value for my money, with a spacious and well-equipped room that had a lovely bathroom. The location was peaceful, and the staff made me feel welcome throughout my stay.

The rooms were beautifully designed and spacious, providing all the comforts we needed. One of the highlights was the superb hot pancakes for breakfast-a must-try! We enjoyed playing 18 holes of golf .

My children wished there was a swimming pool for some added fun.

The countryside location provided a pleasant and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for relaxation. The food, especially the excellent meat dishes served both evening and morning, stood out. The modern Double Room was comfortable, with a convenient feature where the bathroom lights turned on as soon as you entered. Service was really good, with friendly and helpful staff.

Really good Stay with Amazing Staff

A fantastic getaway! The staff were warm and helpful. Enjoyed the fine lake view from our room. Breakfast buffet was pretty good, especially the hot options. A suggestion for improvement, daily specials at the restaurant for more dinner variety!

Perfect for a couple's getaway

I stayed in a Beautiful King Room and the bed was a bit firm for my taste but the quality of sleep was really good I tell you and they even left a birthday card and brownies for me which was a nice touch.

It wasn't exactly cheap but for what you get it's not too hard to swallow.
